We are working towards squeezing in a little more practice time, but as of now, this is the schedule. The field will likely be very large for this race so we will do our best as staff to make efficient use of our team's time.
Tires: For those drivers that competed at Hawkeye Downs, you will utilize those same 4 tires for this week. Mid-Am will allow for one new tire for stagger. For those drivers that did NOT compete at Hawkeye, it will be a 4 tire event.
8 lap heats 44 lap feature
Tech: We will have 3 tech officials in the pits this weekend. Please make sure the basics are covered from a safety standpoint. For more details please go to the Mid-Am website and click driver portal. Within the driver portal, you will see the pre-tech form we use. As far as additional basic checks go: Head and neck system? Mandatory Shock squat tests? Count on it Ride heights? Definitely Valance and side skirts? You betcha Ron and the tech staff being forgiving on the basics? Likely not....
We want to make sure you have as much practice time as possible while setting expectations of what we are looking at on the basic pre-tech inspections. We have to be fair but firm to ensure equality. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to us
